Marty MacDonald is a lifelong cartoonist and illustrator. His love of cycling lead him into a TV career as a presenter, commentator and producer. He has spent the past twenty years travelling the world working on events and programmes that have been broadcast on some of the biggest channels across the planet. He is a regular on Eurosport/GCN where he specialises in cyclocross and women's cycling. Marty has been the voice of the Women's Tour, Tour of Britain and Tour Series on ITV4 for some years now.
He managed professional athletes such as olympic triathlon silver medallist from London 2012 Lisa Norden, as well as Paris Roubaix and Tour de France stage winner Magnus Backstedt. This then lead him into owning and managing his own professional cycling team with Magnus. Over the years as a director sportif as its known in cycling, he worked in both men's and women’s professional cycling with Endura Racing and Dame Sarah Storey’s professional cycling team. With Sarah, he worked with young riders and Olympians alike such as Joanna Rowsell, who he regularly commentates alongside.
Now through his own company Creative BUZZ Media, Marty specialises in motion design, animation, TV and Video production and has also illustrated two children’s books.
Marty has an infectious energy and love for what he does. You'll regularly find him chatting to himself and chuckling away while dancing in the kitchen!
